Visit to Claire-Lise Chauvin

Le Gard is the French departement, in the region Languedoc-Roussillon in the south of the country and is called after the river Gard.

The Pont du Gard is the highest aquaduct built by the Romans and possesses one of the besterhaltenen channels of the Roman time.

Claire-Lise Chauvin is a sculptor-mosaicist, with the unique invention of the concepts and solutions.

Claire-Lise invited us with Madame Sabatier to take breakfast tougether.

Certainly, we were interested to see her workshop and her workmethods. Indeed Madame Sabatier is an amateur and fascinated by mosaics.

It was a real pleasure to discuss the matter with the experienced and clever people!

Here is the remarkable work of Claire-Lise with the application of the mirror.

This construction with three pyramids was made by Claire-Lise for the festival of the music. By turning one of the pyramids man obtains a new picture - there are 27 different possibilities.

p.s.

Three months later, in November 2006, Claire-Lise exposes her works in the district Saint Roch in Montpellier, France.
